You can ignore dot between gmail address

Dear Readers,

Did you know that you can ignore/remove dot(.) from any Gmail address, it doesn't impact email delivery.

For example: If you have an email id xyz.abc@gmail.com, then if you send an email to xyzabc@gmail.com or x.y.z.a.b.c@gmail.com then it definitely comes to your inbox.

You can use this trick in case you registered some site with xyz.abc@gmail.com and Now you need to create a new account, So you don't have to create a new gmail id.

You can use xyz.a.bc@gmail.com Or Any other combinations.

Slow Printing Problem

If you are facing very very slow printing problem with your Inkjet Printer then this post may help you out.

If printer print a swath, then wait 10-15 seconds before the next swath. If so then one of the cartrdiges may have failed. To troubleshoot this remove one of the cartrdiges and try printing in reserve mode. If this prints at near normal speeds then the cartrdige you removed will need to be replaced. If the printer is still very slow then replace the original cartrdige and remove the other cartrdige. If this prints at normal speed then the cartrdige you have now removed is at fault.

(Note: when printing text in reserve mode with only a color cartrdige installed the printing will be somewhat slower than normal, but not very slow.)

I hope this post help you. If you feel this post useful kindly leave comments.

How to do Port Forwarding in Netgear Router

What is Port Forwarding?

Port forwarding or port mapping is the technique to route all inbound traffic on a particular source port to one host on a network. For ex if we want to forward all incoming request on Port Number 80 to 192.168.1.100(LAN IP Address) and all incoming request on Port number 81 to 192.168.1.200(LAN IP Address) then we need to tell router to do this routing.

How to setup Port Forwarding?

Basic Requirements?
  1. We need a Router that support Port Forwarding. Like NETGEAR Router JWNR2000v2
  2. Admin access to Router Control Panel. By default its http://192.168.1.1 (Username: admin Password: password)
  3. That's it
Step 1. Using any PC connected to LAN(Local Network), we open browser and type router IP in address bar e.g. http://192.168.1.1 (Default Router IP)

Step 2. Login popup will appear. Type Username and Password of Router (Username: admin, Password: password)

Step 3. Click on Port Forwarding/Port Triggering

Step 4. Click on Add Custom Service Button at the bottom of page, Enter Following

Service name = "HTTP"
Service Type = ""TCP/UDP"
External Port = "80" (In this Example)
Internal Port = "80" (Same as External)
Internal IP = "192.168.1.100" (IP address of local machine to which we are forwarding port 80)

Click on apply.

That's it

Now all inbound requests on Port 80 will Forwarded to Internal IP "192.168.1.100"
